TIDEWATER Green
A teal green, Tidewater Green is invested with more of the mood and psychology of green than blue. It feels rejuvenating, organic, and healing rather than conservative or somber, that nonetheless feels lively and dynamic, it’s interesting enough to be an accent color in schemes with neutral tones of gray, cream, or earth tones. Or, use Tidewater Green as an alternative to gray and pair it with lighter, brighter hues such as lavender, powder pink, or sage green. When infused with metallic tones, it’s an atmospheric and nocturnal alternative to gold, copper, or silver.

Simultaneously the colour of putrefaction and of verdurous regeneration, green participates with unbiased vividity in decay and rebirth. Perhaps it is green’s teasing ambiguity that compelled Leonardo himself, against his own better counsel, to clad his most famous and enigmatic subject, the Mona Lisa, in a darkening shade of that colour – one that has since bruised itself to a sublime and submarine blackness in the subconscious of cultural history.
